Once upon a time, there was a girl who had a garland in a jar. It appeared when it became clear that garlands die after the New Year along with the Christmas tree. But the girl wanted a celebration, or at least the possibility of thinking that a celebration was near. The garland was bought by her husband along with the others, but the others were either too big or burned out quickly. At first, it hung here and there… but then the girl saw this idea in an apartment with a huge photo on the wall of yellow taxis and the inscription NEW YORK, which itself promised a different life. That’s how the garland in the jar came to be, as a symbol of the possibility of celebration no matter why and where. I think the celebration is inside. You can summon it whenever you want.
