Anya was walking home from school when she saw a coffin being carried through the yard with a "live" corpse, or so it seemed to her. It was the fifth one in a month. The apartments were given to the elderly. The elderly passed away. That’s how Anya realized that life is finite, just like Olivier salad, camp friendships, summer, favorite slippers, her mother's good mood, and sleepovers at friends' houses. And where, where is my goal, my thread, my support? Anya stopped sleeping. They prescribed pills. She was moody. They attributed it to her period. She fell in love. Unrequitedly. She lost weight. They sent her to the village to "fatten up."

Rooster or hen? Anya played with a friend. She had forgotten all the panic of her "teenage" years. They played cards, and she won. She fell in love again. Gained weight. Worries. "Let me live, live!" Anya shouted, her fever not subsiding. It turned out to be pneumonia. Summer, new love...
